SHANNON L. ORIEDO, LMT, CMT, ABMP-CMT
Shannon is an accomplished interdisciplinary healthcare practitioner. A licensed and certified practitioner of both massage and physical therapy healthcare disciplines. She is both the principal owner and managing director of MidMichigan Therapeutic Massage Care.
Moreover, Shannon L. Oriedo is:
- National Board Certified Member of the National Association of Manipulative and Body-Based Therapies [Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP)]. The ABMP National Board Certified Members must attain the most stringent membership requirements, such as a lifelong learning—obligatory continuing professional education, annual re-certification, and upholding the industry’s highest standards of professional code conduct.
- Her resoluteness to make a positive difference, in the quality of living for those in the Mid-Michigan communities she serves, is fueled by personal and professional experiences of witnessing loved ones and patients endure degenerative and excruciatingly encumbering quality of living—due to injuries and/or diseases. For instance, her father, a workaholic breadwinner and a devout parent/husband, endured a lengthy degenerative and excruciatingly encumbering quality of living, before he passed away at a relatively young age!
- Based on her professional experience as a healthcare practitioner, Shannon is quite cognizant of the fact that many injuries and diseases can be prevented when we invest in our own health wellness—such as, stress management and health fitness—for which therapeutic massage care is a suitable regimen.
Indeed, experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress-related. And perhaps nothing ages us, internally and externally, faster than high stress. Massage is an effective tool for managing stress and a number of health issues.
- Shannon is a dedicated parent who enjoys her family life, reading to children, physical fitness and exercising, travelling, camping and outdoors, photography and scrapbooking, cooking, and numerous other recreational activities; and of course, she enjoys working with patients through rehabilitation or general health wellness process —aiding with improving quality of living, for those she treats, through individualized care that is tailored towards a patient’/client’ respective needs.
